Progress on Efficiency
There are four types of authority in Yorkshire and the Humber – metropolitan district, unitary, county council and shire district. For some aspects of business, they work together as sub-regions.
A list of our 22 authorities along with authority type are detailed below. It is hoped that authorities within the region will keep the YHCoE informed of details of work they have undertaken or are in the process of undertaking which will result in efficiency savings. A page has been created for each authority so that details and a contact name can be posted on the website. This in turn may provide a starting point to other authorities in the region to replicate succesful projects.
Click on the name of the authority below for details of their work on the efficiency programme. As and when information is received from an authority their name will be highlighted in blue and a link will be provided to their page.
